Pink Fluorite on Smoky Quartz
Pt. Kurz Mont Blanc, France
This famous 1994 Point Kurz pocket yielded a small number of red-pink fluorite octohedrons on dark smoky quartz, some on white matrix. This is one of the largest, best, and most famous of that find. This was found by Strahler Rene Jillini, and the entire lot was bought by Eric Asselborn. From him this plate went to Stuart Willensky into the Ed David Collection, then to Rob Lavinsky and into the Marc Weill collection.
